A Guide to Cannabis

Cannabis Oil

Cannabis Tinctures have been used for hundred of years across all different cultures.  It has shown recently been a great treatment for pain, inflammation, seizures, and more. It is easy to take, drops of tinctures solution are squeezed out through an eyedropper syringe under your tongue.  This solution is absorbed into the bloodstream through a process called osmosis.

Inhalation Smoke

Inhalation or 'smoking' cannabis may be helpful for immediate relief for certain conditions. It has been shown to stimulate appetite more rapidly than other forms of usage. A blunt and/or joint may contain .25 - .5 grams of cannabinoid(CB).  The medical industry discourages smoking or inhaling cannabis as can lead to complications later in life. It has been recommended to use a vaporizer.

This method more than regular smoking of cannabis. Reduces risks associated with the inhalation of medical cannabis.  Vaporizing cannabis allows one to get at all of the psychoactive ingredients available within that specific strain or marijuana, minus the combustion that ordinarily takes place during consumption.

It is highly recommended to limit the amount of edibles/food.  Food infused with cannabis may have different affects on one patient vs another. Please be mindful and give it time as there is a delayed effect. 10MG is a good starting point and its generally advised to begin with CBD, rather than dosing to effect, or side effect, in 5MG increments is usually safe. Edibles have a much longer onset of action-up to 2 hours, so please avoid taking multiple doses within this time.

Ingestible Oils

These most commonly come in capsules or plastic applicators, either of which can be consumed directly or added to food or drink. Like edibles, ingestible oils can induce powerful effects that take a while to kick in, so be mindful of your dose! These are suggested for sue with patients with cancer, epilepsy, neurological disorders, and other more severe diseases, due to their high cannabinoid(CB) concentrations.

Topicals are cannabis-infused lotions and balms that are applied directly to the skin for localized relief of pain, soreness, and inflammation. One unique property of cannabis topicals is their ability to treat symptoms without psychoactive effects, so if you need to be clear-headed and bypass that euphoric high altogether, topicals are the way to go.
